Visit an old Mill in North Carolina

If you are looking for a good trip, Waynesville, North Carolina is just across the mountains from East Tennessee. That is where you will find the Francis Mill, built in 1887, and it still looks pretty much as it did a hundred years ago. The mill operated for almost 90 years, and much of the machinery is still intact.

A good time to go might be May 20, 2006. The will be the first annual "Music at the Mill" program. In addition to music, you can enjoy BBQ, tours, and a silent auction. For information and tickets call 828-456-6307 or go to www.francismill.org
